USING DISKCAT TO VIEW THE AMICUS CATALOG
This AMICUS disk has a file called AMICUS1to22.cat. It contains an index
to the files in this public domain disk collection, from disk 1 to 22.
To access it, use the DiskCat program. Double-click the DiskCat
icon from Workbench. (If you want to run this program from the CLI,
be sure to increase the stack size with the STACK command: "stack 15000").
When the program first comes up, you MUST click in the yellow requester's
small gadget which contains "2000" and hit the Return key. A white
window with information About DiskCat will be displayed. Read the
text and then click the close gadget of the white window.
On the first menu on the left, DiskCat has a menu item called "Read Catalog
File". Select the submenu item "New Format". A file requester will appear.
You must explicitly enter the full name of the desired catalog file. Erase
the filename that appears in the requester by clicking in the requester,
and using the backspace and DEL keys. Now enter the full catalog file name
here, and press RETURN.
For example, if you would like to load the catalog named "AMICUS1to22",
enter:
:AMICUS1to22
Then press RETURN, and click in the box marked GET.
When loading completes, the catalog of Amicus disks will be displayed.
